Fast Shutter Speed

Shutter speed? Shutter speed is essentially how long or short your camera shutter is opens. For this post I am going to look at a fast shutter speed (1/4000). First make sure your camera is set to shutter priority mode (TV) and then use control dial to change the shutter speed to a low number. Once you have gotten to this point find an interesting subject (like a pet, car, a friend, etc.). When you shoot you will start to notice the longer your hold shutter button the more pictures the camera shoots. This rapid picture capture will help you freeze the moving subject. The key to achieving an amazing fast shutter picture is patience and some interesting action on screen. Here are some of the shots that I captured.
